1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of UrbanBook, including the website, mobile experiences, customer accounts, vendor dashboards, marketplace listings, bookings, payments, support tools, communications, and any related services made available by UrbanBook.
By creating an account, browsing listings, placing an order, making a booking, selling through UrbanBook, joining a vendor team, or using any UrbanBook feature, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked to them.
If you use UrbanBook for a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business. If you use UrbanBook on behalf of another person, such as a guest, family member, staff member, or customer, you are responsible for making sure the information you provide is accurate and that the person understands the relevant rules.
2. What UrbanBook Does
UrbanBook is a marketplace and business operating platform. It helps customers discover, order from, book, communicate with, and pay participating businesses, service providers, hosts, promoters, property providers, pharmacies, rental providers, event organizers, venues, and other approved vendors.
Some services are provided directly by independent vendors. UrbanBook may provide the platform, payment facilitation, support handling, verification review, dispute process, marketplace visibility, and other platform services. Unless clearly stated otherwise, UrbanBook is not the vendor, employer, agent, landlord, medical provider, transport provider, event organizer, or owner of goods listed by a vendor.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share sign-in codes, passwords, or account access with anyone who is not authorized.
UrbanBook may restrict, suspend, or close accounts where there is suspected fraud, abuse, unsafe behavior, false information, repeated cancellations, payment misuse, policy violations, or legal risk.
Users may not create accounts to avoid enforcement, hide identity, bypass restrictions, interfere with another user, or misuse vendor or staff access.
4. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement. Some services may have age, identity, license, health, safety, location, or document requirements. UrbanBook and vendors may refuse or cancel a booking, order, listing, or account where those requirements are not met.
Minors may only use UrbanBook with appropriate consent and supervision. Certain services, items, events, rentals, or activities may not be available to minors.
5. Orders, Bookings, and Listings
Listings are created by vendors or by UrbanBook for marketplace discovery, onboarding, or verification purposes. Listing information should be accurate, but availability, prices, images, descriptions, delivery times, opening hours, house rules, entry rules, and service details can change.
A booking or order is only confirmed when UrbanBook or the vendor confirms it through the platform or when the applicable payment and acceptance requirements are met. Some requests may require vendor approval before they become binding.
Customers must review the listing, price, schedule, location, cancellation terms, eligibility requirements, and any vendor-specific rules before placing an order or booking.
6. Payments and Fees
UrbanBook may collect payments from customers and may deduct or charge fees to vendors, customers, or both, depending on the service. Fees may include service fees, platform fees, booking fees, commissions, subscription charges, promotional charges, payment processing costs, taxes, and other disclosed charges.
The amount shown at checkout or acceptance is the amount due for that transaction unless a later approved change, damage charge, add-on, late fee, penalty, or adjustment applies under the relevant policy.
Users must not misuse payment methods, attempt unauthorized reversals, submit false payment claims, or ask vendors to transact outside UrbanBook where UrbanBook requires in-platform payment.
7. Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors are responsible for their listings, prices, availability, staff conduct, service delivery, legal compliance, licenses, permits, safety standards, product quality, refund cooperation, customer communications, and any commitments made through UrbanBook.
Vendors must not list illegal, unsafe, misleading, counterfeit, expired, restricted, or unauthorized goods or services. Vendors must honor confirmed orders and bookings unless cancellation is allowed by policy, law, safety, force majeure, or customer breach.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate information, arrive on time where required, pay all amounts due, follow vendor and platform rules, use respectful communication, avoid damage or misuse, and cooperate with reasonable verification or support requests.
Customers must not make false claims, abuse refund systems, harass vendors or staff, attempt to avoid charges, use UrbanBook for unlawful activity, or place orders they do not intend to complete.
9. Communications
UrbanBook may send account, booking, order, payment, security, support, marketing, and service communications. Some messages are necessary to use the platform and cannot be fully opted out of while an account or active transaction exists.
Users must not use UrbanBook communications to send spam, threats, harassment, private payment requests, unlawful material, misleading claims, or content that violates these Terms.
10. Platform Changes and Availability
UrbanBook may update, pause, remove, or change features, listings, modules, dashboards, payment options, support routes, or policies. UrbanBook does not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will remain available in every location.
UrbanBook may perform maintenance, restrict access for safety, comply with law, prevent misuse, or protect users and vendors.
11. Enforcement
UrbanBook may investigate suspected violations and take action including warnings, content removal, refund holds, payout holds, listing limits, account restrictions, cancellation of orders, suspension, termination, reporting to authorities, or other steps allowed by law.
UrbanBook is not required to disclose private risk signals, investigation methods, or enforcement thresholds.
12. Liability
UrbanBook is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate user information, vendor failure, customer misconduct, third-party services, payment provider delays, network outages, force majeure events, illegal conduct by users, or risks that were clearly disclosed before purchase or booking.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Policy Relationship
These Terms include UrbanBook policies by reference. If a specific UrbanBook policy gives more detail on a topic, that policy applies together with these Terms. If vendor terms conflict with UrbanBook platform policies, UrbanBook policies control unless UrbanBook confirms otherwise in writing.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to UrbanBook support through the help center or official support contact channels.
