1. Purpose
This policy explains how UrbanBook handles trademarks, logos, photos, videos, text, reviews, menus, product descriptions, listing content, software, designs, brand assets, and other intellectual property.
2. UrbanBook Property
UrbanBook owns or is licensed to use the UrbanBook name, logos, designs, platform content, interface elements, documentation, marketplace structure, software, branding, and related materials. Users may not copy, modify, sell, scrape, reverse engineer, imitate, or misuse UrbanBook property without written permission.
Users may not use UrbanBook branding in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, employment, agency, or approval unless UrbanBook has authorized it.
3. User and Vendor Content
Users and vendors keep ownership of content they legally own. By submitting content to UrbanBook, they give UrbanBook permission to host, display, reproduce, adapt, crop, format, translate, promote, distribute, and use that content for operating, marketing, improving, and protecting the platform.
This permission allows UrbanBook to show listings, reviews, images, menus, event details, service descriptions, business profiles, and related content across UrbanBook channels and approved promotional materials.
Users must only upload content they own or are allowed to use.
4. Vendor Brand Assets
Vendors are responsible for ensuring that business names, logos, photos, menu designs, product photos, staff images, event posters, venue images, property images, and promotional materials do not infringe third-party rights.
UrbanBook may remove or restrict content if ownership is disputed, the content appears unauthorized, or a rights holder makes a credible complaint.
5. Customer Reviews and Submissions
Customers may submit reviews, photos, comments, and other content. Customers must not upload content that infringes another person or business's rights, reveals private information without permission, or falsely represents an experience.
UrbanBook may use customer reviews and public submissions to display marketplace feedback, improve quality, and promote UrbanBook, subject to privacy and moderation policies.
6. Copyright and Trademark Complaints
Rights holders may report suspected infringement through official support channels. A complaint should include:
- The complainant's name and contact details.
- The work, mark, image, listing, or material claimed to be infringed.
- The UrbanBook page, listing, review, or content location.
- A statement explaining the ownership or authorization issue.
- Any supporting evidence.
UrbanBook may remove or restrict the reported content while reviewing the complaint.
7. Counter-Notices
If a user or vendor believes content was removed in error, they may submit an explanation and supporting evidence through support. UrbanBook may restore content where appropriate, but it is not required to restore content where legal, privacy, safety, brand, or trust concerns remain.
8. No Unauthorized Copying
Users must not copy vendor listings, customer reviews, images, menus, property photos, event posters, price lists, or other UrbanBook-hosted content for competing platforms, unauthorized marketing, scraping, data resale, or misleading use.
9. Repeat Violations
UrbanBook may suspend or terminate accounts, listings, or vendor access for repeated or serious intellectual property violations.
