1. Purpose
This policy applies to activities, venues, services, rentals, events, stays, experiences, wellness services, vehicle use, equipment use, property access, and other situations where safety rules, participant eligibility, waivers, staff supervision, or risk disclosures may be required.
2. Vendor Safety Responsibilities
Vendors must provide goods, services, premises, vehicles, equipment, staff, instructions, and activities that are reasonably safe and suitable for the intended use.
Vendors must comply with laws, permits, licensing requirements, professional standards, venue rules, health standards, fire rules, capacity limits, age restrictions, equipment maintenance, insurance obligations, and emergency planning requirements that apply to their category.
3. Customer Safety Responsibilities
Customers and participants must read and follow safety instructions, eligibility requirements, age limits, health warnings, staff directions, check-in rules, equipment rules, venue rules, and lawful restrictions.
Customers must not participate while impaired, provide false health or eligibility information, ignore staff instructions, misuse equipment, bring unauthorized guests, exceed capacity, or endanger themselves or others.
4. Risk Disclosures
Vendors must clearly disclose meaningful risks before confirmation where the service involves physical activity, vehicles, water, heights, animals, tools, equipment, heat, crowds, alcohol, health-related services, body treatments, outdoor conditions, remote locations, or other foreseeable hazards.
UrbanBook may require additional disclosures for higher-risk listings.
5. Waivers and Participant Agreements
Some activities may require a waiver, consent form, safety declaration, emergency contact, health declaration, parental consent, or participant agreement.
Customers may be refused participation without refund where a required waiver or declaration is not completed honestly and on time, unless the requirement was hidden or unfairly introduced after confirmation.
A waiver does not allow a vendor to ignore safety duties, act recklessly, provide unlawful services, or mislead customers.
6. Minors and Vulnerable Participants
Activities involving minors or vulnerable participants may require adult supervision, guardian consent, age checks, staff suitability, safe premises, and additional precautions.
Vendors must not rely on children or vulnerable persons to accept legal or safety obligations they cannot properly understand.
7. Weather, Force Majeure, and Unsafe Conditions
Vendors must cancel, pause, reschedule, or modify activities where conditions become unsafe. This may include severe weather, unsafe roads, equipment failure, venue issues, public safety incidents, health concerns, crowd risk, water conditions, fire risk, or other hazards.
UrbanBook may support refunds, credits, or rescheduling depending on the category, timing, and cause.
8. Incident Reporting
Vendors must report serious safety incidents, injuries, threats, property damage, emergency service involvement, unlawful conduct, or major customer complaints to UrbanBook promptly.
Customers should report safety concerns as soon as possible and seek emergency help first where there is immediate danger.
9. UrbanBook Review
UrbanBook may require evidence of safety standards, insurance, licenses, permits, staff qualifications, equipment maintenance, participant rules, or incident handling before allowing or continuing higher-risk listings.
UrbanBook may pause or remove listings that create unacceptable safety risk.
10. No Guarantee
UrbanBook may review safety information, but vendors remain responsible for safe delivery and customers remain responsible for following rules and using judgment.
