1. Purpose
This policy sets minimum standards for listings on UrbanBook. It applies to business profiles, products, menus, services, appointments, stays, rooms, properties, vehicles, venues, events, experiences, party rentals, pharmacy-related listings, promotions, staff profiles, and other marketplace content.
2. Accuracy
Listings must accurately describe what is offered. Vendors must not exaggerate, hide limitations, use unrelated photos, advertise unavailable inventory, misstate location, copy another business, claim false qualifications, or mislead customers about price, quality, safety, access, delivery, or refund terms.
3. Required Listing Information
Depending on category, a listing may need:
- Business name and location.
- Clear description of goods or services.
- Accurate photos or media.
- Current prices and mandatory fees.
- Availability or operating hours.
- Delivery, pickup, check-in, access, or service instructions.
- Cancellation and refund rules.
- Safety rules, age rules, document requirements, or restrictions.
- License, permit, or qualification information where relevant.
- Contact and support route approved by UrbanBook.
UrbanBook may require additional fields before publishing.
4. Photos and Media
Photos must represent the actual product, place, service, vehicle, room, venue, person, event, or rental where practical. Stock-like, misleading, heavily edited, stolen, unsafe, low-quality, or unrelated images may be rejected.
Images must not expose private customer information, sensitive documents, unsafe medical details, or people who have not consented where consent is required.
5. Pricing and Fees
Vendors must disclose mandatory charges before confirmation. Hidden charges, surprise fees, fake discounts, misleading crossed-out prices, and unclear add-ons are not allowed.
Optional add-ons should be clearly marked as optional. Deposits, balances, late fees, cleaning fees, delivery fees, extra guest fees, damage charges, fuel charges, and cancellation charges must be explained where relevant.
6. Availability
Vendors must keep stock, calendars, room availability, staff schedules, vehicles, ticket inventory, venue slots, and service capacity reasonably current. Repeated overbooking, unavailable listings, or delayed updates may lead to enforcement.
7. Regulated or Higher-Risk Categories
UrbanBook may apply stricter standards to pharmacy-related items, health and wellness, accommodation, property, rentals, vehicles, venues, events, experiences, childcare-related services, and other regulated or higher-risk categories.
Vendors may need to provide proof of licensing, permits, safety measures, staff qualifications, insurance, or ownership before publishing or receiving bookings.
8. Customer Experience Standards
Vendors should communicate clearly, fulfill on time, avoid last-minute cancellations, resolve complaints professionally, and maintain clean, safe, and suitable goods, premises, vehicles, rooms, equipment, or service areas.
UrbanBook may consider customer ratings, complaints, refunds, cancellations, late fulfillment, support responsiveness, and safety reports when assessing marketplace standing.
9. UrbanBook Review
UrbanBook may approve, reject, edit formatting, request changes, pause, remove, or limit listings that do not meet standards. UrbanBook may also organize listings into categories, badges, filters, and modules based on platform judgment.
10. Continuous Duty
Listing quality is not a one-time requirement. Vendors must keep listings accurate for as long as they remain visible or bookable.
