The vegetable bryani is delicious and served in generous portions. Beware of the chili strength though, even the medium is ring-sting hot, so go with mild to appreciate the flavours and keep your tongue intact.
This must be the best Indian in town by far! Very nice authentic food, we ended up eating there 4 times. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend enough! 👍🏾
Delicious food and a wonderful porch to eat it all on. I knew it would be a good meal when I saw a large group of Indian aunties pull up for a party. The food was well spiced but a bit milder than I expected so order a bit hotter than you usually do, also tell the staff just to bring out the food when it’s ready so you get all your food hot even if it’s at different times. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, which has Indian food as well as a few Zambian and also some generic dishes like pasta.
While on vacation in Livingstone, we stayed at the Protea Hotel and walked over to the Golden Leaf Indian restaurant for dinner since we were craving Indian food. The 9-minute walk was easy and on a sidewalk along the town’s main road. Once there, we sat outside on the spacious veranda and had the chicken tikka masala and chicken jalfrezi alongside two types of naan bread, plus carbonated drinks. Staff were very friendly, the food very good, and we even got to chat with some expats that call Livingstone their home. Paying by credit card was no problem either. Definitely would give this restaurant a try when you visit Livingstone.
Visited here after almost a decade and still consistently great. Food is exceptional, great Christmas ambience and many of the customers are repeat customers!
Service is great and after listening to others in our tours this is one of the most consistently great restaurants for food and service! Can’t beat it, am going back for more.
Loved the drums of heaven, butter chicken naans and jeera rice. Quite surprised to find an authentic northern Indian cuisine
