Stunning! Hard to rank what we loved best. Everything is top-notch. The location with the river front amazing and serene scenery, the spacious exquisitely decorated room, the food, the cruise(s). Last but definitely not least, the amazing Mukwa River Lodge team: Linda, the manager, and all the team members went out of their ways to make our stay memorable, and it will be. It was a special occasion for us, and we could not have chosen a better place to celebrate it. One of the best hotel stays we have experienced.
My wife and I spent 3 nights at Mukwa .. we were blown away by the welcome .. our suite (No 6 is island facing as opposed to river facing, it is NOT a downgrade in any way) was luxurious and equipped so well. The layout and furnishing and decorating is up there with the best!
The staff, from the GM, Linda, right down to the gardener in their organic fruit and veg garden, were welcoming and so friendly and willing to share their knowledge.
The food matches the best we have eaten anywhere, use of local produce makes it that much more interesting.
I can say alot more but Mukwa is a place you leave a part of your soul behind at ... and definitely worth visiting.
Wow, We found a sliver of heaven in Zambia! Where do I even begin!? This place is INCREDIBLE. From the moment we arrived we were given the warmest welcome from Linda and team and felt like family during our entire stay. The property and rooms were hands down the most gorgeous place we’ve ever been to. In addition to the white glove service we received, the food was absolutely incredible. The Turkish Eggs for breakfast may be my favorite meal ever! It’s a must try! Mukwa thought of everything and our stay was so enjoyable. My husband and I were there on our honeymoon and they had surprises set up for us every single every day which made us feel so special. The best was getting into bed at night and having a warm pack under the sheets to get into. The little touches and details made this a place we will always remember and we cannot wait to return one day. While it’s still being built, Mukwa will soon have their own functioning farm where guests can go pick their own organic food from (including chickens for eggs)! Thank you Mukwa family for absolutely everything!! We had THE best stay.
If you’re looking for a place that has amazing beauty, welcoming staff with fabulous food and drink look no further. My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights there in July of 22 and can’t say enough about the experience. Every staff member went out of their way to make sure we were relaxed and well taken care of every moment. The buildings and the grounds had a level of thought and attention to detail that we have never experienced before. The food and drink served were comparable to that of a top restaurant in both taste and presentation. Thanks to Linda and her whole staff for a time we will never forget.
The find of the year! What a beautiful new property on the river banks of the Zambezi. Mukwa River Lodge's attention to detail is priceless! The food was exceptional... one of the top three restaurants I've ever eaten at. Fantastic staff! Well done, Team Mukwa - I loved my recent visit!
