We were driving around Livingstone looking for food and also needed to stop at the Shoprite for Peri Peri. After walking around the area, I asked a local shopkeeper where he likes to eat and he pointed us in the direction of Classic Restaurant. However, he didn't refer to it by name, but said "Do you see that red store? There is a passage to left and it's at the end of the passage."
So, in the rain and at night, we travel down this dark passage where we had to use our cell phone flashlights to see where we're going but there's a light at the end of the passage.
There we found this cute, quaint restaurant and the best owner ever. Miss Abigail greeted us with a smile and showed us what she had: fish, beef, fried chicken wings, and roasted chickn thighs. Well, as I do, I wanted one of each so the hubs and I can try it all. We also got 2 servings of veggies, which seemed to be equivalent to collard greens. Then, Miss Abigail comes out with so many servings of Sadza, traditional ground corn.
Now me being hungry and seeing and smelling the delicious food, I start doing my happy food dance. Miss Abigail saw me dancing and decided to turn her music up and we had ourselves a mini dance party.
Everything we ate was so amazing and when Miss Abigail saw we ran out of veggies, she gave us another serving. It's like eating at your mom's where you will not leave hungry.
As we ate, locals came in and left with take away, so it's obviously a little gem that people know about. I'm sharing it on Google so that others who plan to visit Livingstone can experience delicious local cuisine!
