We had a wonderful stay at Ngoma. The room was spacious and comfortable, the pool area was beautifully kept and the food was tasty. But above all the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, Kennedy and Caroline were just the best, arranging tours and supplying information. A very well kept lodge, thank you all www.thehungrytravellers.blog
Had an incredible stay with my family. The staff were beyond excellent and very hospitable. They made us feel very at home and well taken care of. The food was excellent and the rooms were very clean. Very close to town as well. Would definitely recommend staying here.
PROS:
If you get the chance, stay at Ngoma Zanga Lodge! The staff is incredible! Kennedy and Caroline were AMAZING hosts, along with the rest of the team. They were so incredibly kind, helpful, and quick to accommodate requests, such as helping us order taxis and keeping track of our different tours etc.
You MUST try the Beef Stew for dinner—it’s delicious!
The price was great, and the location made it very easy to get to the major sites. The rooms were very clean with daily cleanings, and the adorable elephant-shaped towels provided every day added such a nice touch.
MINOR CONS:
Be aware that the Wi-Fi can be spotty and inconsistent, which can be challenging if you're travelling with a group staying in nearby hotels or need to check your emails frequently. Additionally, there were a few power cuts—this isn’t the fault of the lodge, just the reality of travelling to a country with load-shedding.
Mosquitoes were annoying, so we had to keep our room very cold and use a lot of DEET. However, the lodge provides a very lovely mosquito net. Again, this is just the reality of being in Southern Africa, so it’s no fault of anyone.
Overall, these minor inconveniences did not detract from our wonderful stay.
All v nice, great pool, v clean, excellent service (Ken is great!!!). You guys could work a bit on the breakfast though, v boring and simple. Excellent airport transport, tour booking, recommendations for town. The location is a bit remote though for a single woman, especially night time of course.
