We decided to have dinner here at the last minute and we are so happy that we did! Feeding the elephants was an amazing experience and learning how they were rescued was fascinating. But, the best part was the food! It is definitely a 5-star dining experience with each course having been carefully curated for an amazing meal. The staff was top notch and all were extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent service. We loved everything about this experience and would suggest this as one of the not to miss experiences in Livingstone.
Fantastic experience. The boat ride was comfortable and we were able to see crocodiles and hippos along the way. The elephant interaction was informative and the baboons are all around as well. A photographer takes photos for you that you receive by email. The food was amazing, with a detailed explanation about each dish. Highly recommend.
Perhaps one of my favorite experiences in my life. What an incredible organization and team who provide an experience of a lifetime. Once you arrive, you are greeted with warm smiles and are given an easy to understand safety briefing. The elephants were amazing and the experience to interact with them Ill take with me forever. Equally amazing is the teams’ care and love for these gentle giants.
The riverside dinner was a home run. The pre dinner beverages set the tone, followed by apps, soup, a main, and dessert. The presentation was classic and creative. The food well balanced and cooked to perfection. We appreciated meeting the chef who explained the farm to table preparation and locally sourced ingredients. If you are planning a trip to Livingstone I highly recommend dinner at the Elephant Cafe.
If you are traveling to Zambia, I highly recommend an afternoon at The Elephant Cafe. The staff were very kind and informative and really made our interaction with the elephants special. After our interaction with feeding the animals we were treated to a delicious meal enhanced by local spices. Highly recommend.
This was such an amazing experience. We took the boat to the cafe, which just added to the experience as we spotted crocodiles and hippos along the way. We were greeted with two elephants (a 40 year old mom and her 8 year old son) ready for a snack. After a brief explanation, we were able to feed and interact with each elephant. It was a new experience for all of us. Afterwards, we had an incredible lunch, locally grown and sourced foods. The setting was magical, on a raised platform by the rivers edge. I will recommend this experience to everyone I know coming to this area. Thank you staff, you made our event so memorable.
